THE CREATIVE PROCESS
8 STEPS TO INNOVATION
Every opportunity is unique. The following steps are an indication of how our creative process works:
1. BRIEF
The first thing we do is listen. We will clearly understand your situation and what the problem you are facing is. We will then study your customers, what they would expect and how they interact with your products and communication.
2. IDEATION
We are firm believers of beginner’s mind. Before doing any research we will start exploring ideas to find solutions to your problems. This allows us to see the problem from different perspectives and find creative solutions to any problem.
3. RESEARCH
After we have come up with some initial ideas, we will start researching on them. This will allow us to select the ones that fit the situation better and might lead us onto new paths. It is very likely that we will then go back to the Ideate step to do some more brainstorming and explore new paths. All steps in the creative process are interrelated and we jump from one step to the other from time to time.
4. DESIGN
Once we have selected the ideas that will solve your problem we move onto the design of the solution. At this point we will start sketching out the solution and generate even more ideas. We will see how it might look at its draft stage and how it will interact with your users.
5. PROTOTYPING
Once the design step has been completed we move on to prototyping. This step allows us to explore our designs in the physical world. Through this we can study the interaction of the solution, work out any technical problems and get a bit closer to implementation.
6. SELECTION
Once all ideas have been studied in detail we move to one of the final steps, that of selection. During selection we identify what the best solution is, and in some cases even identify different solutions for different audiences.
7. IMPLEMENTATION
After we have selected the solution (or solutions) we will move onto implementation. At this stage the final product will be prepared and delivered to your target audience.
8. LEARNING
The creative process does not stop at the implementation. In order to achieve excellence, we continue our work after we have implemented the solution. We learn from the implementation on what works for your company and audience and how it can be modified for the future. We also take that input and feed it into your future projects or revisions to create new products that will be unforgettable to your customers.
